What is Activity for ME and What we do
Activity for ME is a Merseyside-based Community Interest Company (CIC) with strong experience in running exercise referral programs. We use this knowledge to create ways to improve mental and emotional well-being through physical activity. Our main goal is to boost mental health using sport, exercise, and movement. We focus on building resilience and helping people understand and manage their emotions.

Walking
What are the benefits of walking?
Is it a neccessity or a choice…

Around the block, in the park, down to the shops, along the beach, up a hill….

Swimming
Swimming offers numerous benefits, including low impact on the joints, effective resistance training, and excellent aerobic conditioning.
Swimming can be exactly what you want it to be — whether it’s completing a set number of laps to reach a goal or simply splashing around for fun and relaxation!

Exercise Balls
Exercise balls are excellent equipment to have at home. They enhance balance, core strength, posture, and flexibility. Just by sitting upright on an exercise ball, you engage your core muscles to maintain balance and improve your posture.
Exploring your range of motion and experimenting with various poses can be both enjoyable and fulfilling. Exercise balls support your body weight, allowing you to modify movements like squats and push-ups, helping you challenge your abilities and safely push your limits.

Slam Ball
Slam Ball Therapy!
A Slam ball is a weighted ball with a soft, squishy texture. Throw it down, and it stays right where it lands. Perfect for releasing frustration and building strength. Squat, lift it overhead, and slam it down with all your power—then repeat, again and again!
Whatever or whoever has frustrated, upset, or angered you, channel that built-up energy and release it by smashing the slamball!

Yoga
Yoga and Pilates are excellent activities that require no equipment. They use your body in various poses and movements to build strength, resilience, flexibility, and balance. By syncing your movements with breathing techniques, you create harmony between body and mind, promoting relaxation and inner balance.

Chair-based exercises
Chair-based exercises offer an effective and safe way to enhance everyday functional movements. These exercises improve mobility, strength, balance, and boost overall confidence!
